Travel San Francisco

This is my contribution for both Ruby Red Tuesday and Inch by Inch art. The theme for Inch by Inch this week is Travel/Journey. I didn't have enough time between my trip to San Francisco and now to draw something conceptual for "journey" but how convenient that I traveled over the weekend and came back with content for the prompt! I quickly decided to do a photo montage/collage using some of my imagery and photoshop. The original images are below. All pictures also coincide with Ruby Tuesday where photography with the color red is showcased.

SF photos! Yay! Golden Gate + cable car represents the city well, at least from a visitor's perspective.

Gotta love the expression of the girl taking the photo while hanging on to the back of the cable car.

Interesting perspective to overlay one on the other. Great color for RT. Thanks for sharing.

I like the one at the bottom, a VERY nice pic of the famous bridge. Just wondering why it's called golden? It's RED for cry not loud.. 8O

Great red bridge. Nice shots!

srp said...

I didn't realize that the bridge was red... what a contrast that makes to the other surroundings!

Very fun!

Beautiful picture of the Gold Gate Bridge. S.F. is one of my absolute favorite places.

The reflecting span looks great in the reflection, a neon bridge is what I see. The city of SF should hire you as their publicist/tourism director. This would be a superb sales poster!

Coool piccies!

Thanks for the comment, btw.

Haha, that bridge always makes me think of the X-men movie where Magneto moves it and stuff. Also, it reminds me of Full House (the tv-show). I wonder if that's pathetic?

steviewren said...

Your photo of the bridge is awesome. It presents a majestic and stately presence in the skyline.

Floretta, I am very envious right now. I just love San Francisco and I'm not really sure why.
I think maybe it is becaue the first time I stayed there it was for a whole month back in one of my other lives. Things were just great. I had left in Nebraska the part that came crashing down later. That time I was on the loose.

Did you buy your trolley ticket from the hawkers at the start? Some of those get mean I am told.

Glad you are back in good shape. And didn't do very many absurd things. :-) A few are good for your soul.
Your ongoing story? Well, I've never drooled over an entertainer. I did have a friend who did once, every night he would go off to her 'show.' Finally a group of us decided to take turns going with him for his 'protection.' I got to figure out why he drooled.

I soooo remember SF from all the times I was there. The trolleys have a lasting impression in my memory. Thanks for the reminder!

Great art work Floreta! You just gave SF tourism officials an idea - the woman on the Tram aiming her shot at an imaginary Golden Gate bridge she badly wants to see.
